The idea behind this Halloween party was a crazed man that pieced together parts of his victims, on his make-shift surgery table, in the attempt to create a monster. He one day succeeded and the monster killed him (his bloody body complete with surgical mask was in the shower at the party). Specimen jars sat in the blood stained attic and a ‘kill wall’ had photos of everybody that RSVP’d to the event on Facebook, alongside a gruesome picture and string to where they were likely to have been targeted in the world.
The surgery table featured a drip serving alcoholic punch, some surgical instruments and a white chocolate rib cage with heart and stomach cakes (photo by Chris Luckhardt).
A bloody-backdropped photo booth was set up to capture people in their costumes. You can just see my The Birds-inspired get-up: $2 birds from Dollarama (one with papier-mache wings) and an 80s vintage suit that I hacked up to look more like Tippi’s.
I just wish I’d had time to take more photos of everything!
